McKenzie Labs is a holding company that founds, operates, and scales a portfolio of independent companies across robotics, healthcare, artificial intelligence, data, security, blockchain, and military science — each built to own one frontier, all backed by shared capital, engineering, and infrastructure.
The holding model
McKenzie Labs does not ship a single platform. It is a parent company that starts, owns, and operates independent businesses — each with its own team, product, and market. What they share is the parent: patient capital, a common engineering backbone, and the discipline to turn frontier research into companies that stand on their own.
Each company begins around a single hard problem — a surgical robot, an AI control layer, a verifiable ledger — backed from day one with capital and founding engineers.
Every company operates on its own, with its own leadership and P&L, while drawing on shared infrastructure: compute, security, recruiting, and go-to-market.
The parent holds for the long term. As a company matures, it reinvests, recruits, and opens doors — so breakthroughs become durable businesses, not one-off projects.
The portfolio
Each is its own company — its own brand, team, and mission — operating under McKenzie Labs, Inc.
Humanoid and industrial robots for work that is dull, dirty, or dangerous. McKenzie Robotics designs the hardware, the actuators, and the on-board autonomy — machines built to operate alongside people in the real world.
Artificial intelligence for care teams. McKenzie Health turns records, imaging, and device data into clinical decision support — surfacing risk earlier and giving clinicians guidance they can trust and audit, built to the standards healthcare demands.
The applied-AI company behind the portfolio, building the models, agents, and evaluation tooling that power products across McKenzie Labs — grounded, governed, and accountable by design.
The compute and data backbone shared across the portfolio. Secure infrastructure, data pipelines, and developer platform — the ground every other McKenzie company builds on.
Physical and cyber security as one discipline. Threat detection, zero-trust access, and provenance across every device, sensor, and network the portfolio runs on — from the cloud to the edge.
Verifiable systems for a world that runs on trust. Tamper-evident provenance for devices, records, and supply chains — so a decision made anywhere in the portfolio can be proven, not just claimed.
Expertise and technology for national security missions. McKenzie Military Science delivers autonomous systems, space, and cyber capabilities to defense and intelligence customers — engineered for the speed and certainty modern operations demand.
canEYE sets the rules for the AI assistants a person already uses — ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity. Each action is marked Automatic, Ask me, or Never, and the assistants must obey. canEYE never sees the underlying data — statements, emails, calendars — it stores only the rules and answers one question: can this AI take this action?
Every action is Automatic, Ask me, or Never — decided once, in plain language.
A connector, a private read-only link, or pasted text — cheapest path first.
A deterministic check, not model judgment — and the data never passes through.
Signing agreements and moving money can never be automatic, for any AI.

Company history
McKenzie Labs is the latest chapter in a family that has built across three generations — in the air, in service to the country, and now at the frontier of technology.
In the 1930s and 1940s, Howard S. McKenzie Sr. built airplanes in Pennsylvania — a craftsman at the dawn of American aviation, and the start of a family that has been building ever since.
An Air Force pilot who, as a first lieutenant, taught some of the first classes at the United States Air Force Academy in 1953. He flew in the Vietnam War and retired at the rank of Colonel.
A technology entrepreneur and the company's Chairman and CEO. He carries the family's instinct for building from the airframe to the frontier — founding and scaling the companies that make up McKenzie Labs today.
McKenzie Labs partners with founders, operators, and institutions to start and scale companies at the frontier. If you are building in one of these domains — or want to back the ones taking shape — start a conversation.
